Emily Fort, Social Media Director for Texans for Homeschool Freedom, brings a unique perspective and lifelong passion to her role. She grew up in a family of 11 kids and was homeschooled through high school before graduating from college with her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theology with an emphasis in Christian Education at 20.

She spent the next five years working for a large homeschooling company, walking tens of thousands of homeschoolers through the process of starting to homeschool.

In 2014, she met and married a 6th generation Texan and started a homeschool family of her own, while continuing to work at homeschool conventions across the country until 2019. Emily’s passion for homeschooling is one of the primary motivators in her life, followed closely by reading to her kids, drinking coffee, and doing all the hand crafts that homeschool graduates are supposed to do.
